This visionary roadmap aims to guide the town's development over the next two decades, focusing on land use, housing, transportation, economic growth, environmental sustainability, and quality of life.
Since the last comprehensive plan in 1979, Islip has undergone significant transformations. TOI-360 seeks to address contemporary challenges such as urban sprawl and congestion, promoting coordinated development and informed infrastructure investments to enhance residents' quality of life.

We propose establishing new bus routes linking the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) station to vital locations such as Brentwood High School, Suffolk County Community College, and the Brentwood Public Library. This initiative aims to enhance accessibility and reduce reliance on personal vehicles, promoting public transportation as a convenient and eco-friendly option.
